Shopping in my pj's

I've always thought that people who shop on Black Friday are crazy. One reason is I have never purchased large quantities of items or lots of expensive items that make the sales worthwhile. Plus crowds bother me, especially pushy crowds. So I stay home and laugh at all those people. With the invention of the internet however, I can participate in most of the sales. I woke up, put my robe on over my pj's, logged into the internet, surfed a few shopping sites, found the sales, clicked a couple more buttons, and wham I was done shopping. Free shipping so I actually saved money but not driving anywhere.

I love the internet.

Deadlines

I don't understand how some people can't follow deadlines. The dates are set for a reason. If I say something is due at a certain time, that doesn't mean read the email and go "oh, I guess I should have mailed it sooner." It doesn't mean to ignore me either.

It is not my job to be your mother and tell you that you have to have something in by a certain time and if you don't you will be punished. Unfortunately that seems to be "other duties as assigned" in my job description.

Round and round sushi

When I take a business trip, I like to eat local. So I do research before I go. I knew I wanted seafood and no one else in my family likes sushi so I decided that was what I wanted. So I went to a place that was near my hotel called Blue C. It is a Japanese style sushi place with a conveyor belt that takes all the different kinds (labeled for us regular people) and you take the ones you want off the line. They are on different colored plates and they charge you by the color. Being a single made it easy to get a space on the line. I even used the chopsticks they gave you without dropping a single one. I enjoyed the spectacle of the whole thing along with some tasty sushi.
